This damaged shingle was one of several shingles in need of repair found during a Cypress, Tx home inspection. Walking the roof to inspect its components is key to a thorough home inspection.  Walking the roof is not required by the the Texas Real Estate Commission but I make it a point to get on every roof of homes that I inspect as long as safety is not compromised.
